Obituary for Herman Francis Kroboth

Age 86, of McMurray, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Beloved Husband of Emily (Medved) Kroboth for 45 years; Loving Father of Robert (May) Kroboth of Colorado and Bradley (Susan) Kroboth of Bethel Park; Caring Stepfather of Wendy (Mike) Mildner of Scott Twp.; Proud Grandfather of Abby Mildner and Corey and Jenna Kroboth; Son of the late Herman and Pauline Kroboth; Brother of Pauline Faessel; Treasured Cousin of John (Joanne) Kroboth of McMurray; also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Herman was a proud graduate of Bethel Park High School, class of 1949 and the University of Pittsburgh, receiving a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1953. During the Korean War, he served honorably in the US Army as a First Lieutenant, head of the Army division and Pay Master in Germany. During his service, Herman traveled extensively throughout Europe. Upon completing his service, Herman began his career at US Steel Corporation, Irvin Works as Chief General Supervisor of Production Planning. Herman was able to retire from U.S. Steel in 1984 at the age of 52. After retirement, he continued with US Steel, U. E. C. as a self-contractor, traveling to Brazil, Mexico, and Yugoslavia. Later in life, Herman was an ardent wine maker and enjoyed fishing. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 724-941-3211. Friends and Family are welcome on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 11:45 AM. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
