Obituary

Ochs,
Carolyn Ferguson

Age 85, of Upper St. Clair, peacefully passed away on February 21, 2019, knowing how very much she was loved. She was originally from Dormont, PA. Predeceased by her parents Robert S. & Mary Adele Miller, her first husband William H. Ferguson and her second husband Bertrand W. Ochs.
Carolyn was the incredible mother to Bill (Irene) Ferguson, Dan (Jody) Ferguson, Scott (Bonnie) Ferguson, Randy (Susan) Ferguson, Heather (Domenic) Folino. Grandmother to Slater, Bryan (Sam), Alyssa (Rob), Adeline (James), Emeline, Fiona, Jeremia, Domenic, and Richie. Great grandmother to Jack and Bradley. She has three step children, seven step grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren.
Carolyn was first and foremost a mom! She spent many years enjoying her work at the Uncommon Market. She loved her adventures through South Park and seeing the covered bridges in Mingo. She enjoyed her travels with Bert especially to Sitka Alaska and spent many winters with her late brother Bob (Betty) and her brother Russ and his late wife Ruth in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She was loved by all and will be remembered for her kind heart and soft demeanor.

My sincere condolences go to the family at this trying time. There is a Bible passage that comforts me greatly. Jesus promised he will resurrect our loved ones. John 5: 28 and 29. When earth becomes the place of peace Jesus talked about at Matthew 5:5, then we will live the promise of everlasting peace. Psalm 37:29. We have a promise from God at Revelation 21:3,4. There will be no more death and pain. There is more comfort to be read about in God's Word, the Bible concerning the resurrection and reuniting with our loved ones. May God’s peace be yours. Isaiah 26:4.

Kathleen and I met Carolyn Ochs Ferguson in August, 1996. She was here to help us celebrate the wedding of her son Randy to our daughter Susan Brandt. It was a terrific party and Carolyn was one of the reasons it was a great party. She demonstrated those lovely qualities of graciousness, openness to others and affection for family that resonated with her son (our future son in law, Randy). We have been privileged to enjoy her company -- since the wedding ---- on another occasion. Again, we enjoyed visiting with her and her husband Bert on that visit. She will be missed by many friends and a large family. She lived a full life and we always enjoyed hearing from our son in law in Alaska about her family in Pennsylvania. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Harvey & Kathleen Brandt, Sitka, Alaska

I have so many memories of Uncle Bob and Aunt Mary with Carolyn, Bob and Russ. Great times with picnics, family dinners and many wonderful family celebrations. As the years moved on Carolyn’s beautiful family blossomed and we experienced the joys of family birthdays and holidays. A beautiful life well lived. There is a big party going on in heaven and Lo Lo is there.

You will be missed Aunt Carolyn. You always reminded me so much of my Grandmom Lois Feldman. I have such wonderful memories of the two of you together. I will hold them close to my heart forever. Say hi to my Mom, Grandma and Grandpa (Lois and Roy), Uncle Earl and my late husband Rick Kleinkauf. ❤️
